A study published in the international medical journal Lancet titled 'Nitrogen Pollution Asthma in Children at International, Urban and Rural Levels' revealed the following findings:

1: Poisonous nitrogen dioxide gas emitted from vehicles gets into the air and kills about 4 lakh children.

2: Nitrogen dioxide pollution is responsible for 13% of the rising rate of asthma in children.

3: Out of 125 cities in the world, Nigeria's Orolo and China's Beijing are notable for asthma in children. Besides, developed and developing countries are also causing the increase of nitrogen dioxide gas in the air.

4: In the spread of nitrogen dioxide gas, 8 cities of China, while Moscow, Russia, Seoul and South Korea were at the top.

5: American states are also suffering from this problem, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas have also increased the number of asthma patients due to polluted air.

6: 7,60,000 Chinese citizens, 3,50,000 Indian citizens and 2,40,000 American citizens are affected by asthma due to air pollution.
